This is Forever, Celine

Most of my smaller work from Bear Bones can now be found on Flickr - including the rest of the coasters and hair metal drawings, and a series of pictures about stalkers. Here is one of my favourite drawings from the whole show; it is called "Stalking Celine Dion".

Bear Bones - final weekend!

There's just a couple of days left if you want to check out my solo exhibition. In case you can't get there, here's a quick virtual tour!

My first ever attempt at a window display!

Prints in the hallway.

The gallery!

Bear coasters! These sold in a flash, to four excellent individuals.

16 coasters in total... pilfered from the local drinking establishment.

Wood stuff.

Hair metal kids!

Overall the show was a mega success... Almost all of the work has sold, and there were so many people there on opening night that we had to close the door at one point and keep folks waiting in the street. I also got heaps of press coverage and did a bunch of newspaper and radio interviews, which was entirely weird, i will never get used to talking about myself. Thanks to all who wrote about the show though. Everyone at Behind The Monkey was a pleasure to work with, and you should buy things from their shop. Oh and shout-outs to K.A. for helping me set up!

Still to come in '08: A 2-man show with Pete Long at Little Creatures this summer, a few Perth shows around October-November, and the opening of Bold Hype gallery in Orlando next month! Details soon!

I shall post scans of everything from Bear Bones after i take it down on monday! Have an excellent weekend, Internet.

Bear Bones opening tomorrow!

Yeah, it's soon.
Here is a picture from a series called Hair Metal Kids. This one is titled 'I'm Your Turbo Lover, Better Run For Cover' and it is about how once upon a time people liked Judas Priest.

First Page

Bit of late notice on this, but tomorrow night at the Bakery in Northbridge is the launch of the book First Page, a collection of writing and artwork by 22 Perth folks. The exhibition is at 6 and then there are bands from 8! Even if you can't get there, i recommend checking out the book should you get a chance - it is pretty awesome. Here's a drawing from my chapter!
